Smart Peels
Lira Clinical Smart Peels are designed to resurface the skin effectively. They work by inducing a controlled wound to remove superficial skin layers, thereby promoting the growth of new, healthy skin. The treatment is beneficial for enhancing skin tone and texture, reducing fine lines, lightening pigmentation, and treating various skin conditions.
About the Peels
Smart Peels are a sophisticated skincare treatment, incorporating a unique blend of acids and botanicals. These peels are specifically formulated to inhibit melanin, making them effective for brightening and evening out skin tone. They are versatile and suitable for all global skin types, with specific protocols tailored to individual needs. Additionally, Smart Peels are enriched with plant stem cells and antioxidants, offering not just exfoliation, but also nourishment and protection, thereby enhancing overall skin health and appearance.

Experience
One to two weeks before the peel, avoid waxing, electrolysis, laser or IPL hair removal, prescription retinoids or retinoid-like compounds (e.g., Retin-A, Renova, Differin, Tazorac), products containing retinol, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, or exfoliating agents. Refrain from microdermabrasion, chemical resurfacing treatments, dermaplaning, cosmetic injectables, skin needling, hair bleaching creams, and hair removal creams or home rollers. If you have recently undergone cosmetic facial procedures, such as lasers or IPL, ensure all skin sensitivity has resolved before the treatment.
Before your treatment, we will assess the current state of your skin. If it is your first visit, please allow additional time for a comprehensive Facial Imaging Skin Assessment. You will also be required to sign the 'Informed Consent' form, confirming that there are no contraindications to the Smart Peel.
As you relax comfortably, your Skin Therapist will begin with a thorough cleansing to prepare your skin for the Lira Clinical Smart Peel. The peel solution, customised to your skin’s needs, is then applied in layers to ensure even coverage. Depending on the peel's strength, you may experience mild tingling or warming sensations, which are normal and indicate the active ingredients are working to exfoliate and rejuvenate your skin.
After the peel, it is essential to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your skin therapist to ensure the best results and avoid complications.
Avoid direct sun exposure, exercise, swimming, or excessive heat while your skin is peeling. Only use the recommended skincare products, and do not apply any other products to your skin. Mild flaking or peeling is normal; however, do not pick or pull at the peeling skin, as this can result in scarring, hyperpigmentation, or infection.
Refrain from using Vitamin A, AHAs, BHAs, and exfoliating products for seven days following the peel. Once the peeling process is complete, you may resume your regular skincare routine or professional treatments as advised by your skin therapist.
Avoid resurfacing treatments, lasers, or waxing for at least two weeks unless approved by your skin therapist. Always use sunscreen to protect your skin during the healing process and enhance the benefits of the peel.
