What is IPL Hair Reduction?

IPL (intense Pulsed Light) is a form of permanent hair reduction. IPL is used to treat terminal hair on the face and body that has pigment (colour) The Light is attracted to the pigment in the hair and will transfer heat down the shaft to the bulb of the hair. This heating will de nature the environment of the hair and slow growth of terminal hairs. At Skin Correctives, our machinery is fitted out with on board cooling systems to ensure more comfortable, safe treatments. IPL can be very effective in achieving permanent hair reduction but is dependent on the colour of the hair, density of the hair and timing in between visits. A consultation will allow your therapist to determine the best way to treat the hair.
