A special blend of Lactic Peel and Mineral Jessner Peel with retinol seal, the Medical Melasma Peel is specifically targeted for hormonal and stubborn, pigmented, skin. Blended with an organic melanin suppressant, hyaluronic acid, green tea and echinacea, this peel stabilised hormonally imbalanced skin, supresses melanin, and makes your skin look and feel refreshed thanks to its antioxidant content.
Medical Melasma is a combination of two key components and popular peel treatments – the brightening and deeply hydrating Lactic Peel, and Mineral Jessner Peel.
The Lactic Peel is excellent for melanin suppression and lightening of existing pigmentation. The lactic, mandelic, kojic, and phytic acids not only lighten existing pigmentation, but also act as a melanin suppressant, effectively preventing the pigmentation from forming. Mandelic acid is known for its collagen-rebuilding qualities.
Plant stem cells and minerals in the Mineral Jessner Peel stimulate collagen and elastin production, diminishes the appearance of fine lines and eases deeper expression lines, lighten skin, and improves tone and texture. To achieve maximum health benefits, it is also infused with green tea, colloidal silver, and gold, which are known for their wound-healing, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.
Before the treatment can start, we will assess your current state of the skin. If you are visiting us for the first time, please allow an additional hour for our complete Facial Imaging Skin Assessment.
You will be required to give consent for treatment by signing the 'Informed Consent' form. This way, we can make sure that you can receive the Medical Melasma treatment and have no present conditions which are contraindicated with this procedure.
As Medical Melasma is considered an advanced peel, you might be required to prep your skin with home care products. Your Skin Therapist will provide you with a detailed protocol to follow.
At the start of treatment, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed. Then, multiple layers of products will be applied and left to sit for several minutes before your Skin Therapist washes them off and applies calming and nourishing aftercare serum.
You might experience an unpleasant burning or stinging sensation once the peel layers are applied, however, no significant pain is associated with this treatment.
Immediately following treatment, you may experience some redness (similar to sunburn) for up to 24 hours, followed by a period of skin peeling (usually 3-5 days). Depending on your skin condition and goals, your skin recovery might differ from the standard duration listed above.
We advise being particularly vigilant about wearing SPF and limiting sun exposure for a week following treatment.
Your Skin Therapist will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions.
A Facial Imaging Skin Assessment is an essential first step in your skin correction journey. That’s why we offer a complimentary skin consultation with your first skin treatment.
